Quiet Note .08

A soft and elegant floral arrangement in a glass vase, symbolizing simple living and appreciation for life’s small, beautiful moments

Dear Friend

Welcome to Quiet Note .08

In this space, where calm moments meet inspiration, my hope is that these notes bring you a sense of peace, thoughtful reflection, and a gentle reminder to find beauty in the quiet.

Lovely Words

Maybe we ought to live for the small things, like handwritten love notes, the soft light at the end of the day,
neck kisses, rainy days in coffee shops, or the smell of spring.
Because maybe in the end that’s the stuff we’ll remember.

Happy Sunday,

As we say goodbye to January, it’s exciting to think that spring is not that far off. While there are still some cold days ahead, the longer daylight is a sure sign that warmer days are coming.

I’ve started to think about my garden, and for the second year in a row, I’ll be starting my own seeds. All various shades of pink petunias—many, many tiny little seeds.

They’re my favourite for two simple reasons.

First, they thrive in my garden, blooming from May all the way through October, even when I’m cleaning out my beds. It’s as if they know I need a little beauty to hold onto, right up until the season’s end.

The second reason I plant petunias is because of my Grandma. She always planted pink petunias in her garden, filling the holes of her cinderblock borders with vibrant blooms.

Every time my petunias overflow with pink blooms, I think of her with love and fondness.

I hope the brighter days bring you moments of peace and joy, just like the memories of my sweet Grandma and the petals of these lovely flowers.

 xx
