My Photography Journal—Week Two

For the Love of Books

Hello dear friend,

This week’s theme is one close to my heart—Books.

I’ve always had a love for them. Not just for the words they hold, but for their beauty. Stacks of linen-bound covers, soft muted tones, a ribboned spine or welcoming title—all these details feel like little works of art in themselves.

Truth be told, I don’t always read them cover to cover. Sometimes, I buy them simply because they’re lovely—pages filled with florals, quiet interiors, or poetry. I like to imagine curling up with one in hand, a warm cup of tea nearby, letting the imagery stir something creative and calm within me.

Books can be a sanctuary. This week’s photographs reflect that feeling—gentle stillness, inspiration, and the charm found in the quiet presence of a well-loved book.

Thank you for following along with my photo journal project. I hope these images invite you to slow down and maybe pull a favourite book from your shelf, just for the joy of holding it. ♡

with love,

Loralie
